The entire album is quality and it is worthy of many repeat plays. Bouncing off the satellites is the fourth studio album by new wave band the b 52 s released on september 8 1986. It was recorded in july 1985 and was produced by tony mansfield. Two years after the release of whammy guitarist ricky wilson died of aids a shattering blow for the b 52 s.

Founding member and guitarist ricky wilson died of aids after the album was completed but several months prior to the album s release. Summer of love girl from ip. The group recouped and finished bouncing off the satellites the album they were recording when wilson died. Very much forgotten due to it s lack of promotion and it s overshadowing by the red yellow albums and their late 80s mainstream stuff which i don t really listen to 80s cheese gone mad lol.
